Namaskar πŸ™

I’m Swapnil. Nice to meet you πŸ™‚

I’m a community manager and front-end developer based in Pune, MH, India. I work as a liaison between an organization and its audience that helps move businesses forward. I have a keen interest in web accessibility, User Experience, and Customer Experience processes.Β I’m passionate about using data-driven techniques to discover the perfect products for the right market, then bringing those products to life.

A continual focus of mine is building amazing experiences for the mobile web, from blazing performance to progressive web apps to solid mobile user experiences. This, of course, translates to the desktop as well, where optimizations for mobile improve site performance overall and result in a seamless device-to-device experience for users.

I make people smile

Not by being funny, but by building things. Like applications, interfaces, teams and data-driven yet human strategies β€” are some of the things I love to create.

Technology

I’m fluent in PHP, CSS, and Javascript and I’ve used several different frameworks to build websites. I have worked with CMS systems like WordPress, Drupal, and Adobe EM. My current favorite is ReactJS, particularly paired with GatsbyJS to make incredibly fast, static, JS-powered websites.

Picking up new frameworks and technologies comes easy to me. After all, it’s not about what you know; it’s what you can figure out. I pride myself on being able to figure out just about anything.

Work

I’m currently a community manager at Axelerant, where we build software to fuel digital experiences. We work with businesses like Wunderman Thomson, Acquia, Wildstyle Network, and Lonely Planet to streamline their web presence and help them achieve and maintain business goals.

Previously, I worked for Dream Sports, Dream Sports is a sports technology company with brands such as Dream11, FanCode, DreamX, DreamSetGo, and DreamPay in its portfolio. Dream Sports is executing its vision of β€˜Make Sports Better’ by providing multiple avenues for fans to deeply engage with the sports they love through fantasy sports, content, commerce, experiences, and events, among others.

I work remotely, mostly from my home office. I love the freedom and independence of remote work, but I also thrive on interaction with my team.

I also build side projects in my spare time. You can see more about these on my Github profile.

Finally, I love helping other people learn to build stuff for the web. I previously volunteered time with various WordCamp, Do Action to help them learn how to get their websites out into the world and seen by millions – and that’s not an exaggeration. I also volunteer with a local WordPress meetup at Pune and the WordPress Polyglots team. My time spent helping others is always a highlight in my day.
